Safety Measures
Installation direction is important
To maximise the anti-slip effect, the direction of the serrations must be opposing the direction of pedestrian or vehicle traffic. The anti-slip effect will be significantly diminished if the serrations are parallel to the direction of walking.

Manufacturing Procedure
Purchasing load-bearing flat steel and twisted square/twisted steel (crossbars) that adhere to national requirements is the first step in preparing raw materials.
Levelling and Toothing Flat Steel: Use a levelling machine to level the flat steel.
The main procedure involves feeding the flat steel into a toothing machine, which repeatedly punches regular, consistent serrated forms onto one side of the steel.
Crossbar Cutting: Depending on the customer's desired grid size, cut the twisted square steel to a certain length.
Assembly and Arrangement: Place the crossbars and toothed flat steel at the appropriate intervals, making that the flat steel's serrations are aligned (typically upwards).
Edge banding: To improve overall stiffness and stop edge warping, weld edge banding plates with the same or slightly smaller specifications as the flat steel bars around the steel grating's perimeter.
Pickling to remove rust, flux immersion, and immersion in molten zinc at around 450°C to guarantee a strong connection between the zinc and iron alloy layers are the methods used for surface treatment (mostly hot-dip galvanising).
Finishing and inspection: Check grid size, weld strength, and galvanising quality; remove weld slag; and grind away burrs.
