The mobility principles of tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles serve as the foundation for the anti-tank net's primary immobilisation mechanism:

1. Friction and Entanglement: A tank or vehicle's tracks or wheels create a lot of friction against the wire mesh when it passes over a metal net that has been placed on the ground; the thin metal strands are quickly dragged into the road wheels, drive sprockets, and track assembly.

2. Progressive Locking: The entangled metal wires gradually accumulate and enclose the vehicle's propulsion system as it moves forward, causing a "snowball effect" as they tighten.

3. Total Immobilisation: In the end, the metal wires create a densely knotted mass below the chassis, blocking the tracks and drive wheels and depriving the car of all movement and bringing it to a complete stop.

If dismounted soldiers wander into a wire-mesh zone, the thick web of thin wires will also entangle their limbs, making it impossible for them to escape on their own.

Low Visibility and Covert Deployment: Using incredibly tiny metal wires, the system is almost undetectable to optical equipment and the human eye in natural settings. Tactical surprise can be achieved by pre-positioning it without the opposition noticing. This feature sets it apart from conventional barbed wire barriers and is its main selling point.
Purely Mechanical Passive Deterrence: The gadget uses just mechanical entanglement principles and doesn't require explosives or active systems. It is highly reliable since it is unaffected by electronic interference.
High-Efficiency Anti-Vehicle Entanglement: Designed specifically to interact with the propulsion systems of both wheeled and tracked vehicles, the barrier tightens its hold the harder the vehicle tries, producing a dependable "tank trap." To increase its destructive power against armoured objects, it can be modified by adding barbs or cutting blades.
Sturdy and Corrosion-Resistant: Made of stainless steel or galvanised high-carbon steel, the barrier provides outstanding resistance to rust and severe weather, making it perfect for long-term outdoor deployment with no upkeep.
Quick, Portable Deployment: The system is lightweight and compact when folded, and a team of two to three people can completely deploy and anchor it in a matter of minutes without the need for specialised tools; certain variants can set up a 100-meter defensive line in four hours.
Modular and Connectable: Several units may be connected end to end to form long, continuous barrier zones; alternatively, they can be combined with other barriers, such concertina wire or "Dragon's Teeth" anti-tank cones, to form an all-encompassing, multi-layered barrier system.
Multi-Terrain Adaptability: Wire diameters and protective coatings can be tailored to meet particular climatic conditions and environmental requirements; suitable for deployment across a wide range of terrains, including grasslands, sandy areas, marshes, roads, rooftops, wetlands, and snowy landscapes.
