Hebei Shenyi Metal Products Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of galvanized gabion in China. If you're going to wholesale bulk galvanized gabion made in China, welcome to get free sample from our factory. All customized metal products are with high quality and competitive price.

Main Materials

  1. Hot-dip galvanized steel wire: Cost-effective choice; corrosion-resistant; suitable for standard river channels and inland projects.
  2. Galfan (Zn-5%Al or Zn-10%Al alloy): Corrosion resistance lifespan is three times that of standard galvanizing; recommended for coastal, saline-alkali, and humid environments.
  3. Galvanized/Galfan + PVC/PE/PA6 coating: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and seawater; available in various colors (e.g., dark green, gray); preferred for landscaping and coastal projects.

Standard wire diameters: Mesh wire 2.0–4.0 mm; thicker edge wire 3.0–4.4 mm (reinforces the cage against tearing).

Common Specifications

  • Mesh opening: 60×80 mm, 80×100 mm, 100×120 mm, 140×160 mm
  • Standard cage dimensions: 2×1×1 m, 4×1×1 m, 2×1×0.5 m; custom sizes available upon request.
  • Structure: Internal diaphragms divide the cage into compartments, preventing deformation caused by localized stone accumulation.
  • Reno Mattress: Flat, low-profile gabion (height 0.15–0.3 m); specifically designed for riverbed lining and erosion protection.

Application Scenario

1. Hydraulic Engineering: Riverbank slope protection, river levee flood control, riverbed scour

protection, seawall wave protection, and diversion channel remediation

2. Geotechnical Slopes: Mountain slope protection, roadbed slope reinforcement, and excavation pit support

3. Landscape Engineering: Landscaped gabion retaining walls, decorative walls, flower beds, and seating (welded gabions)

4. Soil and Water Conservation: Soil erosion control, wetland ecological restoration, and debris retention/soil stabilization

Core Advantages

Excellent corrosion resistance

The hot-dip galvanizing process creates a dense protective layer on the steel wire surface. High-quality hot-dip galvanized coatings feature zinc coverage of 200–400 g/m², effectively resisting harsh weather and natural erosion. Some products utilize a zinc-aluminum alloy (Galfan) coating, which offers more than three times the corrosion resistance of traditional pure zinc coatings.

Long service life

Thanks to its superior corrosion resistance, galvanized gabion mesh is designed for a long service life.

High deformation capacity

Its unique flexible structure allows it to withstand significant ground deformation without collapsing. It adapts to natural slope movements and remains stable under conditions such as soil settlement.

High resistance to scouring

The robust structure effectively withstands water erosion and can endure flow velocities of up to 6 m/s.

Naturally permeable structure

The porous nature of the wire cages ensures excellent permeability, allowing for the effective drainage of water from behind the wall and the elimination of hydrostatic pressure.

Promotes ecological restoration

Permeability allows sediment carried by the water to settle within the stone voids, creating conditions for plant growth and facilitating the gradual restoration of the original ecosystem.

Cost-effective

Fill materials can be sourced locally (e.g., stones, cobbles), significantly reducing transportation costs.

Simple and rapid construction

Installation requires no specialized skills; the cages are largely prefabricated and can be assembled on-site.
